Service Standards - Planning Services

We will:

• Provide an approachable, courteous and professional service.
• Respond to e-mails and written requests, complaints and compliments within 10 working days.
• Answer telephone calls within 5 rings within normal office hours, although on occasions this may be by means of voicemail when specific staff are unavailable.
• Treat everyone fairly and respect the rights and concerns of individuals.
• Act with honesty and integrity.
• Aim to provide information in large print, audio, Braille, or in languages other than English as appropriate on request.
• Process Tree Preservation Order applications within 8 weeks of receipt.
• Process Conservation Area Tree applications within 6 weeks of receipt.
• Process Hedgerow removal notice applications within 6 weeks of receipt.
• Aim to process 60% of major applications within 13 weeks.
• Aim to process 65% of minor applications within 8 weeks.
• Aim to process 80% of other applications within 8 weeks.
• Aim to delegate 70% of applications to officers.
• Aim to process 70% of all applications within 8 weeks.
• Aim to book in all applications within 5 working days.
• Aim to despatch all decision notices within 3 days of decision.
