Service Standards - Personnel

  • We ensure staff are well trained, motivated and contented to deliver high quality service(s) to the public
  • We will ensure that the workforce reflects the local community
  • We develop personnel policies in line with corporate aims
  • We ensure that appropriate staff are employed to corporate and community needs
  • We will consult the public and staff on issues affecting their wellbeing

To achieve these objectives the section aims to:

Request for application forms Send same day or within 24 hours
Letters of enquiry Respond within 5 working days
If we cannot answer letter/email within 5 working days We will acknowledge and explain why
Telephone calls Within 5 rings
Policies We will continually review our policies to ensure they are in line with legislation and notify managers
Advice We will endeavour to give advice to manager over the phone immediately. Where some research is required we will return a call to the manager with 24 hours
Recruitment request Action within 5 working days dependant on publication dates
Major health and safety issues Respond immediately or within 24 hours
Accidents at work Reported to HSE in accordance with RIDDOR
Contracts of employment Issued within 5 working days of request from manager
Request for training Respond within 48 hours on receipt of request form
