Service Standards - Engineering Services

• Engineering Services staff will work to provide and maintain quality car parking services in Shrewsbury for visitors, residents, shoppers and commuters, both independently and in partnership with Shropshire County Council.
• Engineering Services staff will work with Shropshire County Council and Arriva to provide and maintain a quality Park and Ride service.
• Engineering Services staff will work with Shropshire County Council and Bus Operators in provision of a Bus Station and Shelters to provide a quality bus service.
• Engineering Services staff will work with external contractors to maintain the safety and aesthetic quality of paved areas in its ownership throughout the Borough.
• Engineering Services staff will provide a consultancy and advice service to other units within the Council to assist in providing facilities such as sports and play areas as determined by the Council’s priorities.
• Engineering Services staff will provide advice and guidance to residents of the Borough in a range of engineering matters, but particularly related to drainage and flooding issues.
• Engineering Services staff will work with Shropshire County Council, the Environment Agency and Severn Trent Water to alleviate problems caused by river flooding.
• Engineering Services staff will aim to respond promptly by telephone or letter to queries from residents about issues related to the service.
