Property Services provides both building design and consultancy services to the Council in all building matters concerning both Capital and Revenue expenditure.

The Construction Projects Team deals with projects for new buildings together with improvements and alterations to the Council's public buildings. It also prepares Building Surveys and carries out the larger projects in Planned Maintenance and provides advice in building and property related matters.

Briefly, the work involves:

• Taking the client department's brief
• Developing the project in consultation with the relevant interested parties, including consultancy services where these are unavailable in house
• Obtaining all necessary statutory consents
• Managing the project and overseeing the work in progress
