Provision of Recreational Open Space Within Residential Development

This note builds on the requirements for the provision of recreational open space set out in Policy TLR8 of the Local Plan. The guidance note provides developers with information on the types of equipment they should be providing and the sums of money required where commuted sums are offered in place of on site provision. It also covers the need for provision of buffer zones in order to protect residential amenity and future maintenance requirements.
Please note that since the adoption of this SPG the policy reference has been amended in the adopted Local Plan from TLR9 to TLR8
