Amendments to Planning Applications
It is sometimes possible to deal with minor alterations to permissions without needing to submit a new planning application. To see if this is possible send a copy of the amended plan to the Development Control Service with a letter explaining what alterations you wish to make. You can also email a pdf verison of your plan and information on the alterations to planningdevelopmentcontrol@shrewsbury.gov.uk.
If it is possible the matter will be dealt with as a revision to the approved scheme but if the works are more than minor it will be necessary for a new planning application to be submitted; this may also involve a fresh planning fee and you are advised to contact The Planning Officer who dealt with the original application within the Development Control service.
If an application is going to committee and recommended for refusal we can not accept amendments after the committee agenda is printed. The reason for this is that local neighbours and other interest groups will have been notified in writing of the recommendation for refusal based upon the previous plans.
