Conservation Store

The Conservation Store was established in 1977 to provide reclaimed material for the repair of historic buildings within the Borough. The store holds a limited range of otherwise unobtainable hand made local tiles, special bricks, timber sections and panelling together with cast iron items such as rainwater hoppers all of a pattern unique to Shrewsbury.

The materials held at the Store are generally donated and given in exchange for other items, therefore the materials are released to owners of listed buildings or unlisted buildings undertaking grant eligible repairs in conservation areas for free.
