The Mount Conservation Area

The Mount Conservation area was designated in 1997 as an extension to the Shrewsbury Town Centre Conservation Area along the course of the original london to Holyhead road.  The Conservation Area comprises a narrow strip of land and continues for about two thirds of a mile from Frankwell in the east to Shelton Lane in the west.

The following document contains a full appraisal of The Mount Conservation Area. The purpose of the document is to identify those parts of the Conservation Area that should be preserved and enhanced. It also contains proposals for improvement.
