Ford Conservation Area

Ford is located about 5 miles to the west of Shrewsbury on the A458 Shrewsbury to Welshpool road, in the Parish of Ford.  The Ford Conservation Area was designated in 1981 and is characterised by several large houses and farmsteads set within a gently undulating landscape centred on the meandering course of the Cardeston Brook.

The following document contains a full appraisal of the Ford Conservation Area. The purpose of the document is to identify those parts of the Conservation Area that should be preserved and enhanced. It also contains proposals for improvement.
