Shrewsbury & Atcham Borough Council is no longer a landlord and does not have a general housing waiting list or register. If you want to apply for a property to rent you will need to apply directly to Severnside or any of the other Housing Associations operating in the area.
Other Housing Associations
Each Housing Association has their own way of allocating properties and they should give you a summary of their policy when you ask for one.
The Council retains a legal responsibility for providing housing advice and securing accommodation for homeless people. We have rights to refer certain categories of people directly to Housing Associations for priority rehousing and use this method to ensure that our legal obligations towards the homeless are fully met.
Cases of homelessness are dealt with in accordance with the Council's own Housing Allocations Policy.
