Current Use

This is the site of the old community centre which fell into disrepair and was eventually demolished by SABC due to its poor structural condition. The site was then cleared and maintained as a grassed area by SABC.

Proposed Use

This site was identified as suitable for six 3 bed semi detached homes. Planning permission (05/1549/DDM) was granted in Feb 2006 along with Building Regulation approval shortly afterwards. The development of Council land and other assets is through the Council's established procurement route in order to demonstrate best value. In this instance, a managing design team (ETC Ltd) was chosen through a tender and interview process, to handle contractually concept to completion.
