Alternate Weekly Collections

Shrewsbury and Atcham has changed to Alternate Weekly Waste Collections.

This means that your household refuse will be collected one week, and your recycling boxes and garden waste bin will be emptied on the alternate week.
The day of the week for both collections is the same.
Some areas have started in the first week with refuse collections, others have started with recycling collections.

For most people, refuse and/or recycling days are now different under the new arrangements.

Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council is responsible for delivering a variety of services to manage your waste. The Council runs collection services for domestic refuse, garden waste composting, recycling, bulky items and clinical waste as well as organising street cleansing and public toilets.
