The Quarry Fitness Suite

A fitness suite that cares for you... A fitness suite created to benefit everybody.  Whether you are young, old, fit, unfit, male or female. 

You don't have to have monstrous muscles to workout in the gymnasium, or have the talent and stamina of a ballerina to grace the aerobic studio. 

Our programmes have been constructed to cater for wide ranging capabilities including people with special needs.  We appoint high calibre, specialised staff to ensure you benefit fully and can achieve and maintain your fitness target.

Gymnasium

Fourteen single station weight resistance machines designed for safe and simple use plus varied dumbells.  Twelve cardio-vascular training machines.  Air conditioning, full length mirrors to three walls, sound system and satellite screen.

Aerobic/Dance Studio

Semi-sprung maple strip floor, air conditioning, full length mirrors to three walls, fitted ballet rails, self contained light to sound system.  Comprehensive Class Programme designed to cater for all.  All necessary equipment provided.  Contact us for details. Also available for private hire for courses, seminars training etc.

Relaxation Room

8 Person Spa bath, 8 Person steam-room, 5 person sauna, quality showers, communal area complete with loungers and air conditioning.

Claremont Pool

The Claremont Pool becomes an integral element of the Fitness Suite during peak opening hours (available to users of the Fitness Suite only).  Activities include: Lane swimming, masters swim coaching, water aerobics and children's play sessions.

Solarium

Two Rapid Tan Tanning tubes (stand up), shower and toilet facilities and air conditioning.

Who Can Use it?

The minimum age of access to the Fitness Suite is twelve years, (children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult) although there are special exercise classes and swimming activities that cater for the younger age groups (See programme for details).  It is never too late to start, some of our most senior members are in their late seventies.

How much Does it Cost? 

Our realistic and competitive pricing policy provides for - Casual Attendance, Combination Admissions, Passport to Leisure and Membership Schemes, Annual or Monthly, Peak or Off Peak. 

What Do I Have to Do?

To become a registered user of the Fitness Suite you must complete the necessary form, you will then be provided with a 'user' card, this will enable you (on payment of the appropriate fee) to use any part of the Fitness Suite (there is no fee for registration). Cards MUST be produced on purchase of administration ticket.

To become a member you must complete a membership form.  Upon payment of the appropriate fee you will receive your membership card.  Cards MUST ALWAYS be produced at the cash desk prior to entry.

Is That All I Have to Do?

Once you have completed the administration process you are welcome to use the Suite.  However, before using the gymnasium equipment you must have an induction on how to use the equipment safely. This is by appointment only.
 
We will provide you with a personal training programme which can be updated on request (totally free of charge).  If you are an experienced trainer and prefer to work to your own programme, you are perfectly welcome to do so.  (The induction must be taken in all cases.)

Computerised Fitness Assessments and Body Composition Analysis

Utilising state of the art computerised equipment.  Prices vary depending on client status.  Fitness Assessment and Body Composition Analysis are by appointment only. (See tariff of charges.)
