Background

A Travel Plan is aimed at reducing reliance on the car, especially single occupancy use, and promoting alternative modes of transport. The Plan is intended to encourage staff, Councillors and visitors to SABC buildings to choose an alternative form of transport than driving alone.

This Plan covers commuter journeys, business travel and visitors. It is intended to implement this Plan completely as the new Council building in Frankwell becomes occupied, in 2004.

It will be actively developed, promoted and reviewed periodically by a Travel Plan Steering Group.
