    Electronic Payments Guide

    Making a payment

    We can only accept transactions through Internet Explorer. We are currently awaiting a cross browser upgrade to our payment system from our suppliers.
     
    Through the Electronic Payments System you can pay for the following;
    • Council Tax
    • Parking Fines
    • Business Rates
    • Sundry Debts (including Music Hall hire and Commercial Refuse)
    To make a payment, please follow the steps below;
    1. Select your payment type from the dropdown box on the left.
    2. Enter your relevent account number/identification code into the centre box (this box is 'case sensitive' i.e. you must ensure you type in letters in the correct case - 'A' will not be accepted if your account number/identification code contains a lowercase 'a').
    3. If you are paying a parking ticket, please ensure you enter the VP or CP prefix followed by the ticket number.
    4. Enter your payment amount into the box on the right.
    5. Enter an optional contact number/email address.
    6. Click 'Submit for Payment'.
    7. A confirmation summary is displayed, click 'Enter Card Details' to proceed to the payments screen.
    8. If a white screen is displayed containing an error message stating;
      'The connection to Servebase payment pages can not be made'
      the system may be momentarily in use.  Simply press 'Refresh' on your browser (or press F5 on your keyboard) and you will be taken to the payments screen.
    9. Enter your card details and click 'Proceed'.
    10. If you receive any pop-up boxes at this point stating
      'Security Alert: You are about to be redirected to a connection that is not secure'
      click 'Yes'.  This message is a standard browser message that is displayed when you leave a secure payments page, and the security of your card and payment details are not being compromised in any way.
    11. A receipt page will then be displayed which you can print for your records should you wish to do so.
    12. Click 'Next payment' to return to the opening screen where you can make another payment or return to the main website.

    The system accepts payments using the following types of card;
    • Delta
    • Mastercard
    • Solo
    • Switch
    • Visa
    • Visa Electron
