This title is a misnomer as the largest settlement, Picklescott, does not feature in the title and All Stretton which does, only has its very rural part included. The area consists of nine hamlets.

The village of Woolstaston, some sixteen kms (10 miles) south-west of Shrewsbury, also lies on the Longmynd Hill, some 800 feet above sea level. Mixed agriculture but mainly the grazing of sheep and store cattle, prevails. There is a thriving agricultural business and bed and breakfast establishment of national and international repute.
