This title is a misnomer as the largest settlement, Picklescott, does not feature in the title and All Stretton which does, only has its very rural part included. The area consists of nine hamlets.

Picklescott, in the Parish of Smethcott, is the largest settlement lying approximately 12 kms (7 miles) south-west of Shrewsbury. Mixed agriculture predominates and the village has the only facilities in the area, i.e. an inn and a village hall.

The Parish Council hope that a review will allow extremely modest extension to the Picklescott village boundary to encompass the whole of the outbuildings at 'The Homestead'. At present the boundary runs down the centre of an outbuilding which the owners wish to convert into a dwelling, but because the building is partly outside the boundary, this cannot yet even be considered.
