These two parishes are in the central south of the Borough and contain part of the South Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and The Lawley, a distinctive humped-backed hill that lies in tandem with Caer Caradoc.

 

Longnor is located about half a kilometre from the A49 between Dorrington and Leebotwood. The village has a primary school, village hall and church.
