Parish of Kenley
Kenley has a joint Parish Council with
- Church Preen
- Hughley
Kenley is a dispersed village, with a lot of open spaces between dwellings. It comprises mainly of traditional family farms, other dwellings occupied by commuters, and one or two retirement homes. The 17th Century church is on the high ground. The closed school is used as a community room and the post office opens two days a week. To the south-west of the village is a caravan and camping club certified five van site, and on the south side there is a caravan park and an ostrich farm. There are a number of barns which would be suitable for conversion for rural businesses. Kenley is the birthplace of William Farr from which the medical centre at Copthorne was named.
