Church Preen is a rural community with just under half the families operating family run farming businesses, the remainder are either retired or work outside the area. Church Preen village has changed very little in the past 35 years, with little development. Main services being electricity and water. Church Preen at the present time has no bus service, which over the past has been spasmodic. There is no shop/post office or public house. A mobile library visits every two weeks. Focal points for the village are the school, church and village hall, where people can meet. There is also a youth club run by local volunteers and Playgroup and Toddlers sessions have just started in the village hall.
