The Parish is relatively large and is situated in the extreme south of the Borough with the vast majority of the Parish lying within the South Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Cardington is the largest village in the Parish, lying within the AONB and is a designated Conservation Area with many old buildings centred around the church. There is also the village hall and public house.

Enchmarsh is a small working village 1.25 kms north of Cardington and within the AONB. Plaish also lies in the AONB and is centred around the Listed Hall. There have been residential barn conversions at Plaish Park Farm.
