Buildwas is the only settlement within the Parish and is situated on the B4380, immediately outside the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Buildwas has a number of village services including a primary school, shop with post office, village hall and church. Buildwas is considered a settlement suitable to accept appropriate small development by virtue of its having a school and post office facility.
