Special Membership Reduction For Summer 2008

Summer operating hours for Shrewsbury’s Indoor Bowls Centre have now commenced and as a special promotion, Shrewsbury Indoor Bowling Club in conjunction with the Borough Council are offering the attractive membership fee of just £ 5.00 to cover the period April through to September.

Throughout this period the centre will open Monday Tuesday and Wednesday between 10.00am and 6.00pm. Full seven day operating periods recommence in October and run through to the following March.

So why become a member?
Members receive a discounted rink fee and they can take part in friendly organised leagues, operated by Shrewsbury Indoor Bowls Club. It must be emphasised that it is a membership of the Bowls Club and not the centre. You have to be a member of the club to bowl in the leagues but there is no need to join if all you want to do is turn up and play a game with your friends.

There is one exception where both club members and members of the public join together for friendly matches and that is the Chummies League. This is an activity where those individuals who are not members can get a taste of what it would be like to play in organised matches and possibly encourage them to join the club.
