To coincide with the No Smoking Day in March, pupils in the Borough are being encouraged to use their imagination to get across the message that smoking is a serious health risk.
Prizes include Quad Trekking and Paint Balling.
The Environmental Health Department at SABC is running the competition and the deadline for entries is the 25th of February.
Primary school pupils are being asked to design an A4 sized, anti-smoking poster.
Secondary pupils have been asked to write an information or news article of up to 250 words. The article must cover; why you would start smoking, why you’d want to stop, and how to quit.
Both competition entries must be the pupil’s sole and original work.
Pupils should write their name, school year and school on the back of their entries and send them to:
