Rural Community Initiatives Grants

Rural community groups and voluntary sector organisations can apply for a small pot of grant funding from Shrewsbury & Atcham Borough Council. The Rural Community Initiative Grants is open for applications for the 6 weeks, the deadline for applications is August 19th 2008.

Steve Cunningham, Community Regeneration Manager said, “The rural grant scheme is an extension of the previous community initiative programme that funded over 90 schemes throughout the Borough. This programme is aimed specifically at providing additional support to groups and organisations operating at grass roots in rural communities”.

Groups and organisations are encouraged to apply for small amounts of funding as to enable SABC to support as many organisations as possible. The total allocation is £5000 with a maximum award of £1000.
