Pimhill Ward By-Election

A Borough Council by-election will be held on Thursday 28th of August 2008 in the Pimhill Ward of the Shrewsbury and Atcham Constituency. The seat became vacant when the existing Councillor, Brian Rees, died in May.
Anyone interested in standing as a candidate should contact the Electoral Services Office at the Guildhall in Shrewsbury to obtain a Nomination Pack. Completed Nominations must be submitted to the Returning Officer by 12 noon on the 31st of July.
Electors who are unable to vote in person on polling day can vote by post or proxy. Application forms are available from the Elections Office and must be returned no later than 5pm on the 12th of August. This date is also the deadline for changes to arrangements for existing postal voters.
