On Thursday night (3rd July) Shrewsbury Castle is the setting for a production of one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The play is being staged by Heartbreak Productions on their twelfth visit to Shrewsbury. This modern production of Midsummer Night’s Dream will be filled with the Heartbreak hallmarks of live music, masks, magic tricks and a heart-stopping rendition of the tango! Become part of the topsy-turvey worlds where royals, fairies and the rustic workers collide, creating chaos, conflict and mayhem. This is not just any run-of-the-mill “Dream” - this production will excite, tempt and arouse you into becoming part of the fantasy. Magical, enigmatic and hilarious - Heartbreak's new production of Shakespeare's outstanding comedy promises to enchant audiences of all ages. This production is presented to the Shrewsbury Summer Season by the generous support of Whittingham Riddell chartered accountants.
The organisers are advising people to book in advance though some tickets will be available on the night.
