Local Police Meet Their Match

On 6th May Sundorne Sports Village hosted a football match between the Police and NACRO (National Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of Offenders) organised by Shrewsbury Town Warden, Ken Fletcher.
Commenting on the match, Ken commented:

" Often, whenever these two groups meet, it is because there has been trouble somewhere, and the meeting is confrontational. I am trying to help both sides see each other in a different environment, away from problems and sharing a common bond, for example, simply enjoying a game of football. I hope that this may go a small way towards breaking down barriers that exist, and help to build some bridges."
