We are celebrating Playday 08 this Monday at Funday Monday in The Square between 11am and 3pm and again on Wednesday at Frankwell Cricket Ground between 11am and 3pm and need your help to make them a success.
On Monday the Reccy Ranger Team will be in the Square providing some free fun activities. If you like something different then come along and help make some dodos. We’re creating a family of dodos from modroc and a crowd of dodos from clay. So come along and join in the fun. It’ll be messy but great fun.
We’ve also got our new halfpipe, which we’ll be setting up in the middle of the square for anyone looking for excitement and risk.
On Wednesday we’re at Frankwell Cricket Ground and this will be a great day out for all the family. Again we’ll have lots of messy activities and the skate ramps. We’ll also be having water play so if it’s a hot day bring along your water gun and be prepared to get wet. We’ll also be having a waterslide and a giant football. Why not make a day of it and bring a packed lunch.
Dorothy Jones Play Development Officer for Through the Doorway to Healthy Living & SABC said “Over the last few years we have held fundays around the Borough and this year we felt it would be good to hold one where it is easier for everyone to get to. The day is free for everyone to come along and take part and we’re looking forward to working with other agencies to make this day a success.”
