Bayston Hill Primary Schools Poll – 24th April 2008
Release Date:
23/04/2008
The residents of Bayston Hill Parish will be given the opportunity to vote tomorrow (24th April 2008) on whether or not they support the opinions expressed at a meeting held on the 26th of March to discuss the proposed merger of the Oakland and Longmeadow Primary Schools in the village.
The questions they will be given the opportunity to answer are:
- Is the parish of Bayston Hill large enough to sustain two primary schools?
- Do the people of Bayston Hill wish for the proposed amalgamation of Oakland and Longmeadow Primary Schools to proceed?
The polling stations will be located at the Memorial Hall and the Methodist Church in Bayston Hill and they will be open from 4pm to 9pm. As voting by post or proxy is not permitted in polls, only voting in person will be allowed. The votes cast will be counted, following the close of poll, at the Memorial Hall in Bayston Hill and it is anticipated that the results will be declared at about 11pm. For further information regarding the poll, please contact Penny Chamberlain, Democratic Services Manager on 01743 281035.
