Parking on the Street

A  pay and display system operates in the town centre for on-street parking, Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 6.00pm (including bank holidays)

The maximum length of stay in most town centre streets is one hour with no returned for two hours, a few have a two hour limit, see the notices on the pay and display machines. 
 
The blue and yellow pay machines are located next to every parking bay in Shrewsbury Town Centre.

To Purchase A Ticket:
  • Meters accept the following coins:

        5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1.00, £2.00

                 (no change given)

  • Insert registration (numbers only)
  • Press # to accept the number
  • Insert Coins
  • Press # to obtain a ticket.
  • Then place the ticket inside the car, on the dashboard, face up.

Tariff

0 - 35 minutes 60p  (70p from 31 March 2008)

35 - 60 minutes £1.20  (£1.40 from 31 March 2008)

Parking on the street is the direct responsibility of Shropshire County Council, but SABC work with the County in its management.
