In accordance with our corporate & performance improvement plan objectives Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council are dedicated to improve and develop the skills of the local workforce. 

 

As part of this we are keen to provide work experience opportunities throughout the organisation. This can vary from a one weeks-unpaid placement to a two month supported placement for example through the Enable project.

 

We endeavour to assist individuals with their desire for self-development and aim to make their work experience informative, useful and interesting.

 

If you are interested in obtaining some work experience please contact a member of Personnel in personnel@shrewsbury.gov.uk or by writing to the Guildhall. Please ensure your enquiry contains the type of placement you are after (e.g. unpaid), the service you are interested in, the length of the placement and some information on yourself. The team will then forward your request on to the appropriate manager and endeavour to get back to you at the earliest convenience.
