Benefits to Health:

Research confirms that organic foods have considerable benefits to health: They have far higher nutrient, vitamin and mineral content, as well as not having harmful pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and artificial fertilizer chemicals that are present in non-organic products. Organic food is also higher in vitamin C, antioxidants and iron.

Benefits to the environment:

Organic farming methods prevent soil erosion and build healthy soils. Organic farms protect and enhance the environment by building soil matter and by using natural systems rather than relying on artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Organically farmed soils have been shown to have less nitrogen leaching and less runoff and erosion compared to the soils on conventional farms.
