Private Water Supplies

Do you have a private water supply used for domestic purposes?

Lots of homes have a private water supply especially those that are located in more rural areas. The supply may be from a well, spring or private borehole.

If so, do you know when the water was last tested?

The purpose of the test is to establish if the water is safe to drink

Is the water free from contaminants such as bacteria and chemicals?

If the water is contaminated then this could give rise to gastrointenstinal illness (upset tummy) unless correct water treatment is carried out.

It is the responsibility of every homeowner with a private water supply to ensure the water is safe to drink
