Grants Available!

Warm Front

It is especially important that those with young children or those that are disabled no not live in cold conditions. To prevent this the government has made money available for these groups to receive free energy efficiency measures. This scheme is called the Warm Front grants.

If you are on benefits and pregnant or have a child under 16 you could get up to £1,500 worth of free cavity wall insulation, loft insulation draught excluders and low energy light bulbs! You may also be eligible to have an old open fire converted into a modern more efficient gas fire. Also if you are disabled and you receive benefits which include a disability premium you can also apply for a grant.

Warm Front Plus -

In addition there is an even larger grant available for elderly people who are on benefits, this is called Warm Front Plus. If you are over 60 and on benefits you could get up to £2,500 worth of measures, including having central heating installed if you dont have it already!
