The Borough Council provides a free service for dealing with rat and mice infestations in domestic premises.

 

During the winter months rats and mice become a problem in households as they look for winter quarters.

 

Rats live alongside humans, eat and contaminate our food, enter and can cause damage to our buildings.  They carry organisms which can damage our health and transmit diseases.  Rats are very strong and can get through the smallest gaps.

 

Mice, like rats, contaminate and eat our food and can cause structural damage to our buildings.

 

Spring time sees a movement of rodents from buildings etc, back into the fields and hedgerows. The breeding cycle is also high during the spring time.
