Safer Food Better Business Training (SFBB)
Caterers in the Shrewsbury, North Shropshire and Oswestry areas have taken advantage of this free training which was funded by Food Standards Agency. It has assisted them to comply with the requirement to operate a food safety management system.
Whilst the funding is no longer available Walford and North Shropshire College may still be able to provide training and coaching. Contact: Jake Maddox - 01939 262110 to check availability and costing.
Monitoring and Inspection
All food business are legally required to manage food safety within their business. The successful implemetation of SFBB will satisfy this requirement. Food businesses are regularly inspected by Environmental Health and Food Safety Officers as part of our programme. During the inspection an assessment will be made to determine whether food safety management is working effectively.
It is likely that the pilot 'scores on the doors' project will be rolled out across the UK in the near future. YOUR HYGIENE SCORE will be published. Having an effective food safety management system, such as 'Safer Food Better Business' will improve your published score.
