Stray Dogs

If you find a stray dog please ring 01743 281000 during normal office hours or 01743 281500 out of hours and the Council will make arrangements for the dog to be collected.

Missing Dogs

If you lose your dog it may have been picked up by the Council's Dog Warden as a stray.  Please check our on-line stray dogs register.  If your dog is found we will try to return it to you.  If there is no-one home or your dog has no I D tag or Microchip it will be kept in kennels for seven days, after which, all unclaimed dogs will be transferred to a re-homing centre.

A daily charge is payable for the retrieval of dogs from kennels.

There is also a stray dog collection charge of £25.00 to be paid.

Please remember your dog must wear a collar and tag with contact details on, at all times.
