Sex

1. Intro

Extract from Camden Council website (www.camden.gov.uk):

"It's important to know the facts about sex, whether or not you are involved in a sexual relationship. Sex can be fun, but, without using contraception, you could end up with an unwanted pregnancy or a sexually transmitted disease.

If you do want to have children, talk it through with a member of your family and with your partner. If you can't do that, ask your doctor. What you say will be treated in complete confidence.

There's a wide range of contraception available - and one form or another will probably suit you. Free contraception is available, through your doctor, or through agencies working in the area. Alternatively, some forms of contraception are available to buy at your local chemist.

If you're not sure about anything to do with sex, ask your doctor, nurse, or a member of your family or a friend. If you're still worried, or if you don't want to or can't ask anyone you know, there are plenty of places in Camden to get free confidential advice.

If you are gay, or think you may be gay, it's still important to think about contraception to protect yourself and your partner against sexually transmitted disease."
