Shrewsbury Kicks Racism Out of Football 2007

The Shrewsbury Action Against Racism (SAAR) partnership launched Shrewsbury's Kick Racism Out of Football campaign by offering the children and young people of Shropshire the opportunity to win brilliant prizes each week in the Shrewsbury Chronicle throughout October.

The Winners of the competitions are:

Ricky Jones From Harlescott, Shrewsbury won the signed Peter Scholes, Man United Football shirt

Jack Harvey from Ford, Shrewsbury won the Wolverhampton Wanderers signed football

Christopher Davies from Grinshill, Shrewsbury won the Shrewsbury Town signed football  

and finally, Nathan Harley Thomas from Monkmoor, Shrewsbury won some Villa Tickets.

This was the third year that SAAR have ran the 'Kick It Out' campaign in Shrewsbury and each year the campaign has increased in size and profile. Throughout October SAAR was active in organising 'Kick It Out' initiatives in schools and in the community.   

Shrewsbury Chronicle sponsored a 'Kick it Out' Cup on October 23rd at the Shrewsbury Sports Village.  The winners were the Village People from Shrewsbury & Atcham Borough Council.
