BID Manager

Nikki Jones has been appointed as Project Manager for the Business Improvement District (BID) in Shrewsbury.  Her role will be to consult with businesses within the river loop on the key issues that they feel affect trade in the town.  She will be encouraging support for the BID proposal.  Over the next few weeks Nikki will be out and about meeting with businesses so you can expect to hear from her.  She can also be contacted for more information at nikkijones@shrewsburybid.co.uk or see the website www.shrewsburybid.co.uk

Cartoon Festival

Over the weekend of 20th –22nd April the town centre was host to the fourth Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival, a unique event bringing together top cartoonists to offer a programme of workshops, exhibitions and talks.  The events attracted high numbers of visitors, both local and from further afield, and there was a fantastic atmosphere in the Square as cartoonists drew caricatures and Big Board cartoons.  Visit the website www.cartoonshrewsbury.com for pictures and information on previous festivals.
