This is our latest webcam, looking onto the Welsh Bridge from Victoria Quay.

 

This view clearly shows the level of the River Severn, at times of flood the water can almost reach the top of the arches of the bridge. The river flows from right to left in this view.

 

The Environment Agency flood gauge is visible in the foreground (the small grey box).

 

The central part of the picture, beyond the bridge, shows the site of the new Theatre Severn, construction of which started in November 2006.
