Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council Achieves Investors in People Standard

Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council has been awarded the coveted 'Investors in People' standard.
The process involved scrutiny by an independent assessor who interviewing over 70 members of staff.
The award recognises the Borough’s commitment to high standards in training and support for its entire workforce.

An official presentation will take place in the Council Chamber on Thursday 2nd March. Paul Lowe, Workforce Development Manager for Business Link West Mercia will be presenting Robin Hooper and the Mayor with the IiP certificate and plaque.

Assistant Chief Executive, Gareth Owens said:
This award is a recognition of the importance we place on training and developing our staff. Creating a positive working environment is vital to the success of any major organisation. I am delighted that we have achieved the high standard required to obtain Investors in People status. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped during the assessment period.
