Moving Checklist

So you've found the house of your dreams, the contracts have been exchanged and you have the keys in your hand.  Have you let everyone know you've moved?

We've put together a checklist below to help you check.  Some of the items on the list may not be relevant to you, or you may have other organisations to add to the list yourself, but you can Print (Ctrl+P) the list and tick off each organisation if you've notified them.

Inland Revenue	Notify HM Revenue & Customs if you are self-employed or receive tax credits.

Water Company	Severn Trent Water supply most of the Shropshire Region.  Visit their website, send an email, or call 08457 500500 to inform them of your change of address.

Home Contents Insurance
TV Licence	Visit the TV Licence website to change your details.
Life Insurance
Council Tax	Notify the council.
Cable/Satellite Provider
Internet Service Provider
Vehicle
Driving Licence	See the DVLA website for information on how to update your licence.
Car Registration Document	See the DVLA website for details of how to change your details.
Car Insurance
Car Breakdown Service

If you need to find contact details for a company or organisation, you may be able to find them in the online Yellow Pages or Thomson Local directories.

You may also wish to set up a Royal Mail redirection service.  Application forms can be downloaded from the Royal Mail site, you then need to complete the form and either post it or hand it in to a post office.
