Reduce

Calculate carefully the amount of paint, which would be useful for a painting session to avoid buying excess.

Reuse

Keep old paint in top condition to be used again. Stop your paint from drying out by covering the paint tin with a layer of cling-film, before putting the lid back on, and store the tin upside down. Alternatively, if you have unwanted paint, which is still usable, why not donate it to a local project such as the Community Repaint network in Telford (www.communityrepaint.org.uk). Here your paint will be used by voluntary groups – for example to decorate a charity shop, youth club, scout hut or the scenery for a school play.
