    BYELAWS RELATING TO HACKNEY CARRIAGES

    28th May 1976

    HACKNEY CARRIAGES

    Made under Section 68 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, and Section 171 of the Public Health Act 1875, by the
    Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council with respect to
    Hackney Carriages in the Borough of Shrewsbury and Atcham.

    1. Byelaw 16 of the series of byelaws made by the Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council on the 30th day of April 1975 and confirmed by one of Her Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State on the 13th day of June 1975 is hereby amended according to the provisions of paragraph 2 hereof.

    2. For paragraphs (i) and (ii) of the table of fares for distance in Byelaw 16 of the said series of byelaws there shall be substituted the following paragraphs (i) and (ii) which shall be read and construed as one with the said Byelaw 16.

    Mileage

    If the distance does not exceed 1,640 yards of 1,500 metres for the whole distance

    If the distance exceeds 1,640 yards or 1,500 metres for the first 1,640 yards or 1,500 metres

    For each subsequent 328 yards or 300 metres or uncompleted part thereof
