Bayston Hill Parish Poll

Thursday 24th April 2008

Twenty-five parishioners from Bayston Hill met on 26th March 2008 to discuss the proposed merger of the two primary schools located in the village - Oakland and Longmeadow.

As a result of the meeting, a Parish Poll was demanded to check that the opinions expressed were that of the majority of the electors in the parish.  A Parish Poll was therefore held on Thursday 24th April, when the following questions were put:-

• Is the parish of Bayston Hill large enough to sustain two primary schools?
• Do the people of Bayston Hill wish for the proposed amalgamation of Oakland and Longmeadow Primary Schools to proceed?
