Remembrance Sunday Service

A Remembrance Sunday Service will be held at St. Chad's Church in Shrewsbury on Sunday 9^th November 2008 at 9.45 a.m.

A Civic Procession will leave the Music Hall, The Square at 9.15 a.m. following the route of the High Street, Mardol Head and St. John's Hill to St. Chad's Church. The Mayor, Councillor Mrs Anne Chebsey and other Civic Dignitaries will process along with units of HM Forces and Service organisations to music from the Band of the Mercian Regiment who are based at Wolverhampton.

There will be a wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial in The Quarry at 11.00 a.m., where Last Post will be sounded. This will be followed by a march past the saluting base on St. Chad's Terrace.
