Age Discrimination in the Workplace

On the 1st October 2006 The Employment Equality (Age) Regulations Act 2006 came into effect which states that it is no longer lawful to discriminate on grounds of age.  This applies to the process of recruiting staff as well as ensuring existing staff are treated fairly with regard to training and promotion.  The new age discrimination regulations apply to people of all ages, both young and old.
